C-N-I Locates is an Underground Utility Detection & Inspection Service Company in Oregon and Washington state, specializing in an array of services that we believe are specifically tailored to suit your needs, from Utility Design Surveys to identification of Public and Privately owned utilities. Our technicians possess all of the qualifications necessary, averaging over 15 years in this field of work. Each of them hand picked and selected for their own special attributes, to be part of a collaborative team bringing a new meaning to the phrase “Underground Utility Detection & Inspection”.
C-N-I Locates has 25 staff members, with 20 of those being field Technicians. We operate 20 service trucks and vans that dispatch from Everett, Renton, Seattle, Tacoma, Eugene, & Portland.
Services include but not limited to, concrete & structural imaging, utility design surveys, identify and field mark public and privately owned metallic and non-metallic utilities, identify leaks, blockages and electronic faults, investigate utility damages and provide professional representation, consulting services, identify potential utility conflicts and coordinate relocations, complete project and route inspections and provide stand-by protection. We are on-call 24/7, 365 days a year.

Training For Our Technicians
Technicians are all OSHA 10 certified and maintain Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) certifications…accredited through the National Utility Locating Contractors Association (NULCA).
Technicians receive weekly Tailgate/Toolbox Safety Training classes inhouse, along with attending daily classes in the field with our customers. We can also provide Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) or Activity Hazards Analysis (AHA) as needed.
They are also provided with all the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Hard Hats. Eye / Face Protection. Ear Protection. Dust Masks / Respirators. Safe Lifting Practices / Back Belts. Clothing / Knee Pads. Footwear / Foot Protection. Gloves / Hand Protection. Personal Fall Arrest / Restraint Equipment.
