Video camera inspection of utilities: Inserting video cameras and electronic beacons through utilities in order to locate, inspect and video record the condition of the facilities & pipes.
CNI Locates offers two types of Video Camera Pipe Inspections:
Video Camera Sewer & Pipeline Inspections
Video cameras have become one of the most valuable tools in the plumbing business. Specially made waterproof cameras allow for a visual inspection of sewer lines and other pipes that are underground, in cement and under your home’s foundation. A professionally-trained and skilled technician inserts a flexible rod with a high-resolution video camera on its tip into pipes from 1.5 inches to 48 inches in diameter. The flexible rod allows the camera to travel through the pipe—even around corners—to see the pipe in its entirety.
Real-time video image transmission allows the technician to determine the condition of the inside of the pipe and understand any existing or potential problems. A continuous digital video recording becomes a permanent record of defects found. The digital video encoding includes both sound and video. These images or video clips can be easily launched for viewing during inspection report review. Depending on the nature of the project, video logging and image capture are available. These may be entered in video surveys either in real time or later, from previously recorded inspections.
Radio transmitters on the camera record the depth and physical location from the surface of any defect or obstructions so that your technician can accurately diagnose and solve any drain line concerns. There is no guesswork, so your problems will be resolved quickly and cost effectively.
Example Images from Video Pipe Inspections
- A video camera line inspection pipe will identify all types of problems, such as root intrusion and pipe that is misaligned, broken, punctured, off-grade or corroded. The camera also identifies grease buildup, leaks and obstructions. The inspection can be repeated after any service is performed to verify that the line has been properly cleaned or repaired.
- A video camera inspection is recommended if you experience repeated drain line backups, slow drains or clogs. Additionally, a video camera inspection before you purchase a home will help ensure that sewer lines are free of problems that can cause headaches and expensive repairs after you move in.
- Our video/cctv pipe inspections cover a range of inspections including municipal collection systems, residential plumbing, indoor commercial lines, and lateral lines. Our camera systems feature rich lateral and small mainline inspection cameras. They’re a good fit for general plumbing, home & property inspections, building maintenance, or inspecting the interior of a pipe or duct.
- Our mini system can inspect indoor drain lines, residential plumbing, indoor commercial lines and lateral lines up to six inches in diameter.
